DP-304A/IC-2S

A low noise, high input impedance, four channel AC/DC differential amplifier ideally suited for animal ECG/EKG, EEG and extracellular recordings. It has a voltage gain of x10, x100, x1000 and x10,000 and a CMR of 120 dB min at 60 Hz. Four standard IC-2S Input Cable Set for DP-301/304A (Unterminated, 2 pk) are supplied.

DP-314

A low noise, high input impedance, four channel AC/DC differential amplifier that is designed to function with active headstages, which together are ideally suited for extracellular recordings. It has a voltage gain of x10, x100, x1000 and x10,000 and a CMR of 120 dB min at 60 Hz. Four active headstages are supplied, which are compatible with E Series Electrode Holders (purchased separately).

Overview

A four channel AC/DC pre-amplifier designed for recording animal ECG/EKG, EEG and even weaker extracellular action potentials. Its features include:

  • high common mode rejection, CMR – to minimize electrical interference
  • high input impedance, Z –  (typically 1012 Ω) ensures that the amplifier's high CMR will not be degraded by differences in source impedance at the input
  • high DC tolerance –  allows the pre-amplifier to amplify much smaller extracellular action potentials (i.e. in microvolts) in the presence of larger DC electrode voltages (in volts)
  • high gain with low noise – to allow sufficient amplification options while limiting noise
  • an internal calibration signal – provides a convenient check of amplifier gain and operation
  • rack mount hardware – provides rack mountable option
  • three connecting options (selected at time of purchase)
    • two options of input cables – Unterminated or 2 mm pin and Alligator clip
    • active headstages – ideal for recording low extracellular signals and requires separate purchase of E Series Electrode Holders 

Amplified signals can be recorded and analysed using a PowerLab and LabChart data acquisition system.

  • DP-304A Input Cables: Please specify which the required input cable set at time of order, either the standard IC-2S Input Cable Set (Unterminated, 2 pack) or IC-4M Input Cable Set (2 mm Pin/Alligator Clip, 2 pack). If unspecified, the amplifier will be supplied with IC-2S Input Cable Set (Unterminated, 2 pack), which are not terminated at the outboard end.
