The APR-2 Ambient Pressure Reference Monitor is a special type of barometer that measures atmospheric pressure references and provides dynamic corrections via a digital signal to your data acquisition computer. It is required in your small animal telemetry system when measuring pressure signals in order to compensate for absolute measurements (relative to a vacuum) taken by the transmitting implants. All local environmental pressure fluctuations and changes in ambient barometric pressure are used by LabChart channel calculations to correct against measurements obtained by the telemetry system.
Additional hardware and software is required to complete recording and analysis of pressure signals. Available for purchase separately or as part of the Pressure Telemetry Foundation System.

The APR-2 combines the former APR-1 and E2S-1 units. If you have a system setup using these two previous products, no changes are required.
