Overview

These manual control clamp mount micromanipulators are used with supports such as the Magnetic Base for Clamp Micromanipulator to precisely position electrode holders over a cell chamber. If required, it is recommended to be use with microscope magnifications up to 250x.

Each micromanipulator has three stacked, stainless steel roller bearing raceways providing movement in the X, Y and Z axes. Rack and pinion drives minimize backlash and provide fast positioning and long life. All three control knobs deliver fine control, and are located in a single plane for one-handed control of a single instrument, without taking the operator's eyes from the microscope. It also allows several micromanipulators to be closely positioned side-by-side with all control knobs easily accessible.

Other features include:

  • 20 mm of travel in both lateral (Y-axis) and vertical (Z-axis), graduated in 0.1 mm increments
  • two adjustments (coarse and fine) in the probe direction (X-axis)
    • 37 mm of travel, graduated 0.1 mm increments (coarse)
    • 10 mm of travel, graduated in 0.01 mm increments (fine)

Each Clamp Mount Micromanipulator is available for both right- and left-handed use. Both are supplied when purchasing the Two Electrode Voltage Clamp Workstation or Two Electrode Voltage Clamp Workstation System.
