NaviCyte Heating Block Assembly (Vertical, 6 Chamber)

A non-visually obstructive and compact (38.1 x 10.2 x 12.7 cm) holder of up to six NaviCyte Vertical Ussing Chambers. It functions as: 

  • a heater block base that provides efficient temperature regulation of the chambers from an external thermal water circulator (purchased separately)
  • a gas manifold that distributes gas to both sides of each chamber, with individual side chamber delivery control.

Overview

The NaviCyte Vertical Ussing Chamber System is designed to simultaneously maintain and run up to six NaviCyte Vertical Ussing Chambers in a single holder. Pairing with suitable epithelial voltage clamp systems allows electrophysiological and diffusion-only measurements on both grown monolayers (Snapwell cell cultures) and surgically excised tissue sections, for quantification and analysis of transport and barrier functions.

Requirements

How to configure your NaviCyte Vertical Ussing System:

  1. Select NaviCyte Heating Block Assembly (Vertical, 6 Chamber) if more than one chamber or if heating is required
  2. Select required NaviCyte Vertical Ussing Chambers – up to 6
  3. Select corresponding chamber caps (one set per chamber)
    • Select Perfusion Caps – if perfusion is required in standard volume chambers (not required if recording electrophysiological measurements, or using Electrode Caps, or using low volume chambers)
    • Select Electrode Caps  – if recording electrophysiological measurements in standard volume chambers
    • Select Snapwell Electrode Caps  – if using Snapwell chambers and recording electrophysiological measurements
  4. Select NaviCyte Ussing Chamber Ag/AgCl Electrode Set (one set per chamber) and NaviCyte Electrode Glass Barrels (8pk) - if recording electrophysiological measurements 
  5. Select appropriate Heated Water Circulator, tubing, and tubing accessories – if not available in the laboratory and temperature maintenance is required
  6. Select appropriate amplifiers, interface cables, and PowerLab and LabChart data acquisition system
