Overview

Record and Measure the Force of Isometric and Isotonic Muscle Contractions

Clarify the interaction between chemical, electrical and mechanical forces in vivo and in vitro with PowerLab and our range of isometric or isotonic force transducers .

Force produced by a twitching muscle. Unit conversion is easily managed with LabChart's Unit Conversion dialog. 

Hardware

Choose from a variety of sensitivity ranges from narrow (0-2g) to wide range (0.01g-1000g) and from isometric or isotonic transducers . These can be used for isolated tissue studies as well as in vivo preparations in small and large animals or humans. Also available are a range of stimulators including stimulus isolators for human connection.

Software

Use LabChart’s Scope View to overlay and average evoked contractions and the stimulator control panel to generate stimulus protocols or automate external devices. For more in-depth analysis, use the Peak Analysis Add-On to automatically detect peaks and calculate key parameters such as peak height and area.
