Newer bridge amplifiers (FE***) can supply a DC excitation voltage of up to 20V. This can enable 3rd party transducers, to be used with our amplifiers. The amount of excitation needed can be altered using a specific resistor. This resistor is generally placed between pin #5 and #8 on the relevant interface cable.
Further information and guidance on this can be seen on pages 31-34 of the “Bridge Amplifier Owners Guide ”
.
If the skill-set allows, end users can manufacture interface cables themselves.
