Can Chart 5 or earlier sample directly into MatLab whilst recording?

Chart 5 or earlier unfortunately do not have the necessary VBS Scripting functionality for streaming data to MatLab. Chart 5 or earlier can only Export to MatLab post-recording as a text file (under File | Saves As | .txt File).
The ability to stream data live to MatLab directly requires LabChart 6 or newer, where more advanced scripting functionality is implemented.
