How can I ensure good electrical contact between a Delsys sensor and the skin?

When using Delsys wireless sensors to measure EMG, EKG, and FSR from a human subject, it is important to prepare the skin by shaving body hair, removing dead skin with medical grade tape, and cleaning the area with alcohol.

You should also clean each sensor before and after each use by wiping with isopropyl alcohol (~70%) or a mild detergent solution. NOTE: Never submerge the sensor in any liquid.

Because the sensor may be in contact with sweat, rust may occur on the sensor electrodes. In order to remove the rust, you may use a rubbery material such as a rubber eraser. Do not use anything abrasive to clean the sensor or remove rust.
