1. Adding multiple students to a restricted course at the same time
This is done while importing the student list. In the Server admin pages, navigate to Students | Import, browse to find the required student list file, Upload.
The page will have now been updated to show a preview of the student list, and a number of other options. Tick the checkbox for the "Import students into course" option. This enables a field with a drop-down menu, listing all of the restricted courses. Select the restricted course that you want the students to have access to, and go through the rest of the import process like normal. Once the import is complete, the imported students will all have access to one restricted course.
2. Adding multiple students to more than one restricted course
This is done by repeating the steps listed for scenario 1, selecting a different restricted course each time the list is imported. This has the effect of adding course access to the existing student accounts by merging the imports. Importing the list twice will not create two accounts for each student, it will create one account for each student with access to two restricted courses.
3. Adding multiple students to a restricted course when you do not have a complete student list file - (e.g. A Server that allows students to create their own accounts; a Server where students have already set their custom passwords and you do not want to reset them)
This is done by exporting a student list file. The file can then be imported as in scenario 1, with the admin selecting a restricted course for the students to have access to. This will not create two accounts for each student, it will give the existing students access to the chosen restricted course. If access to multiple restricted courses is required, repeat the import as in scenario 2.
