How should I clean/sterilize Lt Sensors?

Cleaning and sanitizing protocols for Lt Sensors are detailed below. Note that Lt Sensors should never be fully submerged in liquids for any period of time. It is recommended to clean Lt Sensors before and after each use.

All Miscellaneous Cables:
Wipe down with a lint free cloth moistened with industrial methylated spirit (denatured alcohol), a disposable alcohol wipe, or a 70% ethanol spray (wipe off excess spray with a lint free cloth).

Velcro straps:
The velcro straps on each Lt Sensor can be carefully rinsed under warm water followed by placing the Sensor in moving air so they can quickly dry out. Again, never submerge the Lt Sensors in water!
Biopotential and Biopotential Lead Wires:
Detach biopotential and shielded lead wires. Wipe down with a lint free cloth moistened with industrial methylated spirit (denatured alcohol), a disposable alcohol wipe. Ensure that excessive amounts of liquid disinfectant are not applied to the connector housing or housing of the transducer. Wait until fully dry before re-attaching.

Transducers, Tendon Hammer, Stethoscopes and Cardio Microphone:
Clean the body of the sensor or electrode, cable, and connector housing (take care to avoid the actual connection pins) with a lint free cloth moistened with industrial methylated spirit (denatured alcohol) or a disposable alcohol wipe.  Ensure that excessive amounts of liquid disinfectant are not applied to the connector housing or housing of the transducer.

Respiratory Belt Transducer:
The strap and cloth encased transducer may be gently hand washed with soap and water. Do not immerse the electrical connector. Ensure that excessive amounts of liquid disinfectant are not used on the connector housing. Ensure entire assembly is fully dry before use.
