Is it possible to export the R-R intervals from LabChart for further analysis?

There are a number of different options for exporting R-R intervals for further analysis depending on the version of the Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Module you are using or if you are using LabChart alone.
Using HRV version 1.x.x

You can export the complete set of raw RR intervals used for the Poincaré Plot and the Tachogram.

To export RR intervals:

Select HRV > Export RR Intervals...
In the dialog that appears, specify the save location, file name and file type for the exported text data.

Each row of the (raw) RR intervals text file includes the interval number, interval duration in ms, the interval classification (Normal, Ectopic (low), Ectopic (high), Artifact (low) or Artifact (high)) and the block number

You can also export the NN intervals which are used for the Period Histogram, Delta NN Histogram and the Datapad settings.

Using HRV version 2.x.x
The export options are no longer available in HRV version 2.  However it is still possible to export the interval data.  Firstly you need to set up the interval in a separate channel: Select the HRV...option from the drop down list next to the channel name
Select Beat Period and click OK.  This will display the intervals in the channel.

You should then export the data as a LabChart text file. Select File Menu>Export and choose LabChart text file as the file type.  In the dialog that pops up, choose the relevant channel for the beat period only.  It may also be wise to down sample according to your sample rate so that you do not get repeated measures for the same interval.

Using LabChart without HRV.
If you do not use the HRV moduule add-on, it is possible to extract the RR intervals by using the cyclic measurement option.
Select Cyclic Measurements....from the channel drop down list
In the Dialog select the relevant source channel and choose Period from the list of measurements

Again you should then export the data as a LabChart text file. Select File Menu>Export and choose LabChart text file as the file type.  In the dialog that pops up, choose the relevant channel.  It may also be wise to down sample according to your sample rate so that you do not get repeated measures for the same interval.
