My PowerLab is not being recognized by my Windows Operating System. How do I reset the driver?

If your operating system is unable to properly detect a PowerLab, you may benefit from resetting the driver in the Windows Device Manager. Perform the following steps to first remove the corrupted driver:

  1. Open Device Manager with the PowerLab connected and turned on
  2. Right-click on the PowerLab's entry in the Device Manager list (it will have the exclamation mark)
  3. in the dialog that appears, select Uninstall and check the check box to delete the driver software for the device
  4. Turn the PowerLab off
  5. Reboot the computer
To re-install the PowerLab driver, simply power on and connect the PowerLab to your computer (with an internet connection). You should see an icon in the status bar indicating that the device driver is being installed.
