What would be the absolute error of a transducer and signal conditioner together?

For instance, the T-type Pod has a specified accuracy of ± 0.2 ºC and the MLT1405 thermocouple has an accuracy of ±0.1 ºC. So what would be the total error?
Statistically it is known that variances of independent measurements add and errors are standard deviations (the square root of variances), so the correct answer would be sqrt(0.1^2+0.2^2) = 0.22, as described here:

In practice, the difference between the above method and simply adding them is not actually that significant, socan be used to be on the "safe side".
