Most Gmail Email Accounts are pre-configured to prevent any access by 'less secure' apps. This will prevent the email verification request from LabTutor Server from getting through, resulting in a verification failure unless access for less secure apps is granted.
Temporarily disable this function and then re-send the Verification Email (WARNING: This will temporarily lower your Gmail security settings). To do this follow these steps:
- Go to 'My Account'
- Next to "Access for less secure apps," select 'Turn on'
- Log in to your LabTutor Server Admin Pages, and go to Server | Configuration : click Verify to re-send the Email
Note: This function is not available if you have 2-step verification enabled on your Gmail Account.
