Why does the GLP Certificate Manager say "Invalid (Certificate chain is incomplete and therefore untrusted)"?

When using certificates issued by ADInstruments, this message means that the ADI Root Certificate is not correctly installed. The ADI Root Certificate provides Windows and LabChart with the information needed to accept the user's private key. It tells the system that the certificate was created by a trusted source.
The ADI Root Certificate must be installed as a Trusted Root Certification Authority on all machines which run LabChart with GLP. It can be installed manually on each machine, or automatically through a Windows Domain Controller.
