If LabChart 7 for Mac is not identifying a PowerLab that is turned on and connected to the computer via a USB connection, the software may be set to always start in analysis mode. To change this, access the PowerLab Startup settings window via the LabChart 7 for Mac drop down menu as pictured below.
When the PowerLab Startup settings window appears, change the PowerLab Startup options to search for PowerLabs connected via USB when the software is starting, and select the "Fastest (use USB 2.0 if available)" settings option (if active). Finally, mouse click the OK button.
LabChart 7 for Mac should now identify and connect to a PowerLab connected via USB during the initial software startup process.
