LabChart 8 for Windows uses the computer's MAC address to generate an 'Installation ID' to activate the software with. 'LAN/WLAN switching' docking protocols can cause issues with the software activation/registration when they are enabled on laptops which use docking stations. Disabling the LAN/WLAN switching protocol (normally a system BIOS feature) will solve this problem.
