In this webinar, Associate Professor Wendy Riggs (MS) discusses the virtual Anatomy and Physiology labs that she runs at the College of the Redwoods, and how she uses technology to facilitate meaningful learning opportunities for her students.

Wendy identifies the important outcomes of laboratory experiences for Anatomy and Physiology students; discusses common barriers to hands-on laboratory experiences in fully-online science courses; and examines the pros and cons of common online laboratory solutions.

Wendy Riggs is a tenured professor at the College of the Redwoods, California, and is enthusiastic about flipped classrooms and open educational resources (OER). In 2019, Wendy was elected President of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS); previously, she was the Chair of the HAPS Communications Committee and served as Secretary. Her popular YouTube channel, hosting videos on anatomy, biology, and human physiology, has over 84 000 subscribers and 9 000 000 views.
