Winners announced for 2014 Sam Drogo Technology in the Classroom Award

Our latest award celebrates innovation and technology in education but it also remembers a teacher who had a great impact on us and his students. The Sam Drogo Technology in the Classroom Award is presented annually by the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS) and ADInstruments to a HAPS member who demonstrates the innovative use of technology to engage undergraduates in Human Anatomy and Physiology. This year we'd like to announce two winners of this award:

Wendy Riggs of the College of the Redwoods, Eureka, California

Aaron Fried of Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, New York

Congratulations! Each winner will receive a travel grant and registration to the annual HAPS conference, in Jacksonville, Florida.

This award was created in memory of Sam Drogo - a long time dear friend of ADInstruments and a fantastic physiology educator. He worked for years with us side by side to deliver instructor development at HAPS and elsewhere. We're really happy to be able to work with HAPS to celebrate Sam's contribution to teaching and encourage those who share his passion for education.
