Congratulations to the winners of our Educator Scholarships!

We’re proud to announce the recipients of the ADInstruments Neurobiology Educator Development Scholarships: Dr Zeni Shabani, from Minot State University, and Dr Martine Mirrione, from Quinnipiac University. Both winners receive a free registration to the Crawdad Invertebrate Neurophysiology Course at Cornell University and a travel grant to help get there.

This course is an exciting opportunity for educators to learn cutting-edge invertebrate neuroscience techniques and to expand their student coursework with hands-on expertise. We love being part of such a fantastic, educator-focused initiative. We hope you enjoy it!

Dr.  Zeni Shabani - Minot State University, Minot, North Dakota

‘The Crawdad Neurophysiology workshop is essential for developing my neurobiology lab, so the award definitely helps in reaching that goal. I am stoked about the opportunity to acquire hands-on skills in crayfish electrophysiology procedures that are applicable to undergraduate neuroscience education. Thank you a million times for the award.’

Dr. Martine Mirrione - Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut

‘I am thankful and thrilled to receive an ADInstruments educator scholarship to attend Crawdad in January 2014 because the skills I will learn at the workshop will help me develop an advanced undergraduate neuroscience laboratory course at Quinnipiac University. I'm really looking forward to learning extracellular recording techniques for teaching concepts in neurophysiology from the experts!’
