HD-S10 Small Implant

DSI201O-P

Collects pressure, activity, and temperature, e.g. rat blood pressure. Reduced weight from preceding model for improved animal welfare and up to 5 months of battery life. Multiple length options available.


HD-S11 Small Implant

DSI202O-P

Ability to collect pressure, biopotential, activity, and temperature. Ideal for cardiovascular studies and a variety of catheter lengths to accommodate a diverse range of research needs. Multiple length options available. Option to include a secondary implant (sold separately) for use in paired housing scenarios or for recording from two implants in an individual animal. In these scenarios, an RPC-3 PhysioTelTM Receiver will be required.


HD-S21 Small Implant

DSI203O-P

Collect two pressure signals plus biopotential, activity, and temperature for a wide range of applications and configurations. Ideal for high-fidelity applications recording pulse wave velocity or a combination of pressure signals like left ventricle with systemic blood pressure. Multiple length options available.


HD-S02 Small Implant

DSI211O-P

Continuously collects 2 biopotential channels, activity and temperature. Most commonly used for neurophysiology and electrophysiology studies in mice. Wider bandwidth in low frequencies (< 1 Hz) helpful for scoring slow wave sleep whereas in high frequencies (> 50 Hz) this is helpful across multiple neuroscience applications.


4ET Small Implant

DSI204O-P

The is the most comprehensive small animal implant for CNS studies, this option records temperature, activity and up to four EEG channels. Option to include a secondary implant (sold separately) for use in paired housing scenarios or for recording from two implants in an individual animal. In these scenarios, an RPC-2 PhysioTelTM Receiver will be required. 


F40-TT Small Implant

DSI20801-P

This dual thermistor tipped temperature probe records two temperature channels and one activity channel, example use in fat tissue studies. Battery life up to four months.


F50-W-F2

DSI10502-ACA

The F50-W-F2 (DSI10502-ACA or -IND) is a PhysioTel implant designed to wirelessly acquire sympathetic nerve activity (SNA) from rats and similarly sized species. The implant measures one high bandwidth biopotential signal.  The F50-W-F2 transmits data using a different frequency (18MHz known as frequency 2 or ‘F2’) than most PhysioTel implants, therefore, it may be implanted with another implant of a different frequency (F0 or F1) in the same subject allowing the simultaneous measurement of SNA with other data types such as blood pressure. This enables tremendous flexibility in designing your autonomic nervous system studies. The F50-W-F2 implant can be re-sterilized and re-implanted in multiple subjects.

Easy to use with enhanced performance and proven success, implants are designed for subcutaneous or intraperitoneal placement in small animal models such including rat, guinea pig or rabbit.  Both PhysioTelTM HD and other PhysioTelTM small animal telemetry implant sensors can record a varying range of signals including:

All implants provide improved animal welfare by allowing the subject to move freely within the cage. The electronics enclosure are hermetically sealed to ensure successful use in extended duration studies.
