Clean PowerLab Sensors before and after each use to reduce the risk of contamination. Do not fully submerge PowerLab Sensors in liquids at any time.
General Cleaning
Use a lint-free cloth moistened with one of the following:
- Industrial methylated spirit (denatured alcohol)
- Disposable alcohol wipe
- 70% ethanol spray (wipe off excess with a lint-free cloth)
Miscellaneous Cables
- Wipe down using the general cleaning method above.
Velcro Straps
- Rinse gently under warm water.
- Allow to dry in moving air.
- Do not submerge the sensor.
Biopotential Sensors, 12 Lead ECG Switch Box, GSR, and Lead Wires
- Detach all biopotential and shielded lead wires
- Clean using a lint-free cloth with alcohol or a disposable alcohol wipe
- Avoid applying excess liquid to connector housings or transducers
- Allow to dry completely before reconnecting
Transducers, Tendon Hammer, Stethoscope, Force Sensors, Goniometer, Push Button Switch, and Cardio Microphone
- Clean the sensor body, cable, and connector housing using alcohol-based wipes or solution
- Avoid contact with connection pins
- Do not apply excessive liquid to connectors or transducers
Respiratory Belt Transducer
- Hand wash the strap and cloth components with soap and water.
- Do not immerse the electrical connector.
- Avoid excess liquid near the connector housing.
- Ensure the entire assembly is completely dry before use.
