PowerLab Sensors perform a diagnostic self-test each time they are connected to a USB port. The LED indicator shows the current status of the sensor.
The LED is located on:
- The lead end of biopotential sensors
- The USB end of all other sensors
Checking Sensor Status
- Connect the Lt Sensor to a powered USB port or hub.
- Observe the LED indicator as the sensor initializes.
- Use the table below to interpret the LED status.
LED Status Indicators
| LED Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| No light | The sensor is not receiving power. Check the USB connection, cable, and power source. |
| Green | The sensor is idle, initialized, and ready. |
| Blue | The sensor has been detected by Lt. |
| Light blue | The sensor is actively sampling. |
| Flashing orange | Firmware update in progress. Do not unplug the sensor. Wait until the light turns green or blue. |
| Flashing red | The sensor is in an error state. |
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Lt Sensor, consider the following steps:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the sensor and the computer.
- Verify that the computer or USB hub is powered on.
- Check for physical damage to the USB cable or port.
- If the sensor displays a red flashing light, consult the Lt Sensor support documentation or contact technical support for assistance.
