We do not recommend co-housing mice due to the TBase not being able to suitably power two separate telemeters.
Mouse telemeters do not have rechargeable batteries; they need to be within the TBase's power field. If they leave this field, the telemeter will no longer receive power and will stop recording.
If co-housing is needed you could possibly have two implanted animals within the same cage but you could only have one active telemeter at a time. This may lead to issues, or conflicts while switching between the two telemeters which could be problematic.
A second, un-implanted, mouse could also be added to the cage. However, having 2 animals, especially males, could lead to issues as they could turn aggressive towards each other resulting in damage to the telemeters.
