The frequency response of the Millar pressure control units is 1kHz. The frequency response for the MPVS hardware is 600Hz for the pressure channels and 460Hz for the volume channel. The frequency response of the transducer is 10kHz. Most people don’t ask about the frequency response of the control unit which naturally limits the performance of the catheter. However, the frequency response of the control units is still high enough where it does not affect the pressure and volume signals produced by the fast beating hearts of mice and rats.
