The protection of data records can be ensured by saving GLP for LabChart documents to a protected write-once directory. This directory should have permissions that allow files to be written to the directory, but not modified, overwritten or deleted. Configuring the system to ensure such protection is the responsibility of the System Administrator and is outlined in the GLP System Administrator’s Guide .
GLP for LabChart provides automated, sequential numbering of data files to serve as a backup system to preserving raw data.
