What does the Millar Manufacturer Warranty for Mikro-Tip Catheters cover?

Out of Box Failure
Millar guarantees Mikro-Tip™ Pressure and Pressure-Volume (PV) Loop conductance catheters will function within specification at first use within thirty (30) days from the original Millar shipment. It is recommended that the end user test the catheter following load to ensure functionality.

Suppose an Out-of-the-box failure is suspected. In that case, Millar will initiate an RMA claim to evaluate the catheter to confirm failure and (1) replace the catheter or (2) repair the catheter to a functional state. The return freight to Millar is at the end user's expense. Millar will expense freight and handling charges for catheter return.

Manufacturer Warranty
Mikro-Tip™ Pressure and Pressure-Volume (PV) Loop conductance catheters are protected by a limited manufacturer warranty. Millar warrants that at the time of sale to the original purchaser, the catheter will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Because catheter handling, cleaning, storage, application, and other matters beyond Millar's control directly affect the product and the results obtained from its use, malfunction due to everyday use, or damage during handling/surgery are not covered by the manufacturer warranty. Follow Millar cleaning and handling guidelines to prevent damage to the catheter's pressure sensor.

Suppose a material or workmanship defect is suspected and is reported within the warranty period. In that case, Millar will initiate an RMA claim to evaluate the catheter to confirm the fault and (1) replace the catheter or (2) repair the catheter to a functional state. Return freight to Millar is at the end user's expense. Millar will expense freight and handling charges for catheter return. Note that the limited manufacturer warranty varies by catheter model.

Three-Year Repair Life
The repair life is based on the properties of the catheter material used and is generally three years from the original sale date. An RMA claim to evaluate the catheter must be reported within three years from the original sale date. Return freight to Millar is at the end user's expense. Millar will expense freight and handling charges for catheter return. The evaluation will assess the failure cause and determine if the catheter is repairable. The RMA evaluation fee and suggested repairs are at the end user's expense.

Catheters purchased with a non-repair option will only be accepted for evaluation after the manufacturer's warranty period.
