Please ask your local IT to check following if you are unable to connect to the server after the initial install or have lost the ability to connect after a period of time:
- Server still has static IP address that has not changed
- Office computer is on same domain as server or has permission to cross domains if in different domains
- User profile/permissions are not interfering
- Antivirus not obstructing connections
- Microsoft updates changes that impacted server settings
