Intracranial Pressure

3D model URL

The model shows intracranial pressure being measured by the Rat Pressure Telemeter in the subdural space of the rat skull. The rat pressure telemeter is available in 9cm, 15cm, and 25cm lengths. The 25cm length is required for intracranial pressure recordings, as the catheter is tunneled from the telemeter body in the abdomen, up to the back of the neck. From there it is advanced into the subdural space through a burr hole and then held in place by a combination of Gelfoam within the burr hole, and dental cement on the surface of the skull.
