Work together on one student's device, then have each recipient review and accept the completed work in their own account. Each student needs access to the same course and lesson.
Being added to the recipient list is not enough. Every recipient must preview and accept the correct work to be included and receive credit for it. Follow your instructor's lesson link, membership rules, and deadline.
Group sharing through your own account
Share the group's work
- Choose one student to enter the agreed group responses. This student is the sharer.
- The sharer signs in using the course's usual LMS lesson link or institutional route and opens the group lesson.
- Select Start Lesson or Continue Lesson. In the sharing dialog, enter a participating member's Lt account email and select Add. Repeat for the other members.
- Check the names, then select Share and Start or Share and Continue.
- During the lesson, use Share at the top right to open Share Group Work, add or remove recipients, and select OK to save the changes.
- Complete and review the agreed lab work. Tell members when the version is ready to accept.
An email added to the list is an invitation to review the work. Every recipient must still sign in and accept.
Returning for more work: Sharing applies to a session. If the sharer reopens the lesson and does more work, check the recipients and share that session too. Earlier sharing does not automatically give members the later work.
Review and accept work shared with you
- Sign in to your own account and open the same course and lesson, using your usual lesson link.
- On the course home page, use Review under You have Group Work to review and accept, if shown. In the lesson, select Preview Group Work.
- If several versions are offered, check who shared each version and when, select the intended one, and choose Preview.
- Inspect the answers and data. Confirm that this is the completed work you helped produce.
- Select Accept when you are ready to use this version. If you already have work, the Overwrite lesson? dialog explains that it will be replaced. Select Overwrite Lesson only if that is what you intend.
- Check that the expected answers and data appear in your own lesson. Follow your instructor's commit or submit instructions.
Accepting gives you your own version of the work at that point. Later changes by the sharer do not automatically update your accepted version. Accept when the agreed group work is complete. If you accepted too early, tell your instructor and the sharer before taking further action.
If the version is wrong
Use Cancel to leave the preview without accepting. Check with the sharer if answers, data, or membership are wrong. Do not overwrite your own work simply to clear a notification.
If your instructor wants you to work independently, the lesson may offer Work By Myself or Keep My Work. Confirming those choices declines shared work; it does not accept it.
