The non-rectangular shape of a typical right-ventricular (RV) PV loop, makes it difficult to identify end-systole compared to a left ventricular (LV) loop. Therefore, when analyzing RV PV loops data with PV Loop module, using the standard settings often leads to inconsistent data. To account for this unique geometry, two specific setting adjustments are recommended:
- End-Systole Detection: In the PV Loop Settings dialog, you can choose how the software detects end-systole. For RV analysis, select the Sinusoidal pressure fit.
- Occlusion Analysis: When analysing the occlusion data to determine the ESPVR, use the Linear (loop tangent fit ES) option in the Loop View.
