The MPVS Duo can be used to record PV-Loop data with the following methods: Conductance for Small Animals, Conductance for Large Animals, and Admittance for all animal models.
When the unit is set to Admittance mode, the Pressure, Volume, Phase, and Magnitude outputs are all used, and the signal being output for Volume is the subject's real-time Volume data. When set to Conductance mode, the volume is calculated post-acquisition from the Magnitude signal with the LabChart PV Loop module, and only the Pressure, Phase, and Magnitude outputs are used. In this mode, any signal being output by the MPVS Duo for Volume is non-physiological, and should not be used. Note, the Pressure 2 output is no longer supported, and is disabled in all MPVS Duo data acquisition modes.
