ADInstruments workshops tour China

We’ve had a focus on China this month, with Dr JC Tan, from our Sydney office, spending a month travelling to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wenzhou and Beijing giving workshops and demonstrations of both research applications and education products. It was a fantastic month and really rewarding to see the strong interest in some of our new products!

Some of the trip highlights were:

The Psychophysiology workshop at East China Normal University, in Shanghai. During the workshop Dr Tan demonstrated various product applications, with attendees excited about the latest hardware products such as the Wireless Trigno EMG Sensors, and StimTracker and SuperLab software.

The Education workshop in Guangzhou with interactive sessions on human and animal physiology. Attendees had the opportunity to create their own customized experiment and set up their courses. They were very impressed by these revolutionary teaching solutions.

The Cardiovascular workshop at Wenzhou Medical University, in Wenzhou, with around 80 people attending. Dr Tan demonstrated several important applications in cardiovascular research, including pressure-volume (PV) studies, wire myography, isolated tissue, Langendorff and working heart studies. It was fantastic to have highly skilled senior researchers from Wenzhou Medical University joining Dr Tan to demonstrate live PV and wire myograph experiments.

A second Psychophysiology workshop conducted at the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in Beijing, focusing on stimulus presentation studies and obtaining high quality signals. In addition, Dr Tan also visited several top medical schools and renowned hospitals around China to help with investigatory techniques and data analysis.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended workshops or meetings throughout April - it was a really great experience and we look forward to seeing you again in the future! Read more about support and training we offer here.
