Resources for Educators: The HAPS Anatomy Learning Outcomes!

For over 15 years, ADInstruments have had a close relationship with the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS), whose mission is to promote excellence in the teaching of anatomy and physiology.

We've been working in partnership with HAPS to create a brand new set of learning outcomes, developed and designed specifically for those of you who teach stand-alone human anatomy courses. We are proud to announce the release of the HAPS Anatomy Learning Outcomes!

These learning outcomes are a set of guidelines that are intended to serve as a benchmark for current anatomy instructors, or as an aid for those developing new courses.

The process of creating anatomy-specific learning outcomes involved multiple revision cycles with members of the HAPS Testing Committee as well as members of the Anatomy Testing task force (experts charged with the task of developing the HAPS anatomy exam, under the purview of the HAPS Exam Program).

The anatomy learning outcomes complement the existing HAPS Anatomy and Physiology learning outcomes and exam. There will be a validated exam aligned with the anatomy learning outcomes available in 2019.

Please visit the HAPS website to learn more and to download the outcomes! (To see the file downloads, you must be logged into your HAPS account.)

We hope you find these awesome learning outcomes to be a useful resource for your anatomy courses!
