Force Sensors
Overview
Strain gauge-based force transducers, suitable for measuring muscle contractions or similar forces, such as in isolated tissue-organ bath experiments in teaching applications. Sensors operate such that when force is applied to the sensor, it causes the strain-gauge elements to change resistance, and hence produce a change in signal voltage.
The support rod can be easily switched around to suit mounting on different micropositioners and manipulators. Products available for connection via either a Pod-input on a PowerLab, Bridge Pod or Bridge Amp.
Force Sensors can be used in Lt and Lt LabStation. They plug into the PowerLab T1 or straight into a Windows or macOS® laptop or desktop computer via USB connection.
