Overview

Latex balloons that are designed to measure isovolumetric contractile forces in the left ventricle of isolated perfused rodent hearts, such as in a Langendorff setup. They are available in several different sizes to correspondingly match the sizes of rat to rabbit hearts. A recommended sizing guide is available in Details and Tech Specs below.

Two flexible balloon catheter sizes are available to interface them with a Physiological Pressure Transducer and Bridge Amplifier to measure left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP).

A pack of ten latex balloons, each with dimensions of 3 by 7 mm (D x L)  and a 0.03 mL unloaded volume. They are suitable for very large mice and small rats with 100-200 grams body weight.
