How do I configure my LabChart Lightning license account if I am a designated account admin?

  1. You will receive an email inviting you to your LabChart Lightning license account.


 

 

  1. Click Log In and use the temporary password provided in the email. You will then be prompted to create a new password:

 

 

  1. After you’ve changed your password, you will be taken to the home screen for admins. On this home screen, you can download LabChart Lightning for Windows or Mac, you can see whether you also have access to a Lightning license, and you can access Lightning support resources. Note: as an admin, you do not automatically have a user license for Lightning. You will need to assign licenses to your group by clicking name of the license group (shown in the blue box in the screenshot below):
     

 

  1. The license group admin page shows all of the information about your license group, including Customer Name, Group Name, and the main Admin contact. 

 

  1. Click the Licenses tab to assign licenses to the Lightning users in your group. In the Licenses tab, click the Manage button next to an unassigned license.

 

 

  1. Type in the email address of the user you would like to assign to your license, and click Assign, then click Back to go back to the main Admin page for your group.

 

 

  1. In the Admins tab, you can add more admins to assign user licenses.

 

  1. The History tab shows all activity in your group. This is especially helpful when you have multiple admins.
