How do I export system logs from a Finapres® NOVA?

When a Finapres® NOVA is experiencing faults or issues, it is helpful to include the log files of the device when reaching out to your ADInstruments representative. The log files only provide technical information to further evaluate hardware, software, or firmware related problems. They do not contain identifying patient information or other confidential information stored on the device. These files can only be downloaded to an external drive (either USB or network drive). The steps listed below outline how to export the log files:

 

  • Connect a USB drive to the back of the NOVA (if exporting to a network drive, skip this step)
  • Navigate to “System Settings” > “Hardware” > “Maintenance
  • Press the “Export Logs” button on the Maintenance Screen.  In the directory menu that appears, select the external drive (USB or network drive) as the save location, and press the “Export Logs” button in this menu.
