When renewing my GLP Public Certificates in my GLP Server, I get an error stating 'A certificate with that designator (name) already exists' and the certificate cannot be added - how can I resolve this?

When adding newly generated Public Certificates to the GLP Server, these Certificates have a unique ID and Fingerprint to distinguish them from other certificates.

However, one additional stipulation is that the new certificate for a given User must have a different name (designator) from any other certificates for that User. Trying to add a certificate with the same name will result in the described error:

To resolve this, when adding the certificate, change the name in the 'Designator' field. For example, add the activation period of the certificate on to the name:

This will allow the certificate to be added.

Important note: Never delete any existing certificates - this will invalidate any LabChart GLP Files signed under that certificate.
