Why is there a blank gap between my data blocks?

When recording data in LabChart, any time the recording stops and restarts, a new block is created.  This is shown by a block marker which demonstrates that the recording is not continuous, thus protecting data integrity.

Occassionally you may see a broader gap between the end of one block and the start of the next.  This usually occurs when a setting has changed in one or more of the channels, such as the recording range, allowing the new, correct scaling to be visible in the data.
