Is it possible for the Time DVM to show the Time since the last added Comment whilst recording in LabChart?

There are 2 ways of producing a live readout of the Time since the last Comment was dropped - both unfortunately with their own drawback.

1. Using the Marker

You can place the Marker tool (the 'M' found at the bottom-left of the LabChart window) each time a Comment is added, placing the Marker immediately on that Comment. You can then drag out the DVM Window for the time axis which will give you a time readout relative to the Marker (which if placed on the comment will give you a time readout relative to the comment):

The downside is that it requires manually adding the Marker each time a comment is added.

2. Use Timed Add to Data Pad and Data Pad Miniwindows

Set up the following Columns in the Data Pad:

Column A: Comments | Comment Time (any Channel)
Column B: Selection & Active Point | Selection End
Column C: Column B1 - Column A1 - turn on the MiniWindow for this Column

Then go to Setup | Timed Add to Data Pad and set it to add 0.1s every 0.1s.

What this does is shows the result of column C, which effectively functions as a timer from when the last comment is added (showing the current time minus the time position of the last comment):

The downside here is that the Data Pad is filled up with lots of information during recording (as we are having to use Timed Add to Data Pad).

Note that post-recording you can simply delete this excess data and reconfigure the Data Pad columns as required for your analysis.

Important Note: The Formula you enter into Column C cannot be saved as part of a Settings File - it will need to be re-entered into row 1 each time.
