When starting from a full charge and not being actively charged in a TR181 SmartPad's charging field, Kaha Rat Telemeters have a battery life of the following:
- When in Active Mode for data recording - ~4-6 hours of battery life
- When in Safe Mode for storage - ~6 months of battery life
It is recommended that a telemeter not be allowed to completely drain its battery, and the battery levels of those put into Safe Mode for storage should be checked every month using the Kaha ConfigSoft software.
