Why is my LabChrt for Windows Data File not being recognised?

For your data file to be recognised on the Windows version of LabChart, it needs to be saved in the *.adicht format. Data recorded and saved as standard data files in any LabChart for Windows version should be saved in this way by default. However, if you have recorded the data on a Mac OS with version LabChart 7 or earlier, you need to save the file specifically as Windows data. Details on how to do this can be found here.

Additional issues may occur when recognising LabChart for Mac files stored or sent outside the Mac OS network. More details about this issue can be found here.

So, it's very important that you find out which version of LabChart and what operating system was used to capture any data files that you may have been sent by colleagues.

Finally, if data is exported in a different format from the default saved data files, Labchart may not automatically recognise them unless you change the file type when opening or importing data.
