Dr. Nabeel received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Government Engineering College Barton-Hill (GECBH), Trivandrum, Kerala, India in 2012. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Instrumentation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India in 2019. His doctoral research involved investigating mathematical models, designing novel transducers, and developing intelligent systems for the non-invasive, calibration-free, cuffless measurement of central blood pressure.
Dr. Nabeel was awarded the 2018-19 Institute Research Award for the best Ph.D. research in IIT Madras. Currently, he is working as a Research Scientist in the cardiovascular division of the Healthcare Technology Innovation Centre (HTIC), IITM Research Park – an R&D center of IIT Madras. He deals with mathematical modeling of cardiovascular mechanics, physiological experiments, clinical investigations, and the development of sensors and instrumentation for biomedical applications. He has over 60 peer-reviewed publications, and 2 granted & 22 pending patents.
