By working with the Association of College and University Biology Educators (ACUBE), ADInstruments supports their mission to further strengthen the ecosystem of biology educators in the US and beyond.
What is ACUBE?
ACUBE is a member-based organization of post-secondary educators dedicated to excellence in teaching biology. Members work at relatively small four-year colleges and universities, community colleges, technical schools, or large research institutions. They are the kind of faculty who know their students names and try to teach them how to think, not what to think. The mission of ACUBE is to provide professional development in the realm of teaching, research, advising, and scholarship. ACUBE achieves this through their peer-reviewed publication Bioscene, and their Annual Meeting.
The 67th annual meeting of ACUBE in October 2023 will bring together biology educators from colleges and universities across the US. At this conference, educators will discuss innovative teaching approaches and their own experiences in the classroom.
To support this valuable work, ADInstruments is sponsoring ACUBE's Annual Meeting and their annual Carlock Award, for graduate students in the biological sciences who intend to teach college biology. We are excited to find out the winner of this award for 2023, who will be announced at the Annual Meeting this month.
ACUBE also offers an annual Teaching Award, which closes on 1 October each year. Please consider applying for the 2024 round.
