Meet Phobe Au!

Phobe is the Head of Operations here at ADInstruments.

“I think the two best parts of my job are working with the people here, not just in this office but the whole ADI family around the world. They’re a bunch of very talented, inspiring group of people, and I learn from them every day. And the other best part is obviously our product.” Phobe says, “It's very well made, high quality, and I'm very proud of what we manufacture. That includes the third-party products that we bring into providing a solution for our customers, helping to make science easier.”

Phobe has been with ADInstruments for more than 20 years. Starting off in office administration, she worked her way up into accounts, then as a team leader in the finance department, and seven years ago progressed to Head of Operations.

As Head of Operations, Phobe oversees the planning, production, and distribution of ADInstruments products across the globe. She coordinates engineering, procurement, product development, finance, and sales to ensure that products get from A to B as smoothly as possible.

“What I like about working here is the respect that we have for each other’s expertise, and the drive to make the best product to help our customers. I think we really like the mission statement of our business, of ‘making science easier’. It’s not just an idea, it’s what we live and breathe in our work every day.” Phobe says, “and we practice that in our manufacturing, in the way we engineer a product, in the way we try to give customers the best delivery time; all of that comes back to that mission statement.”
