Meet Vik Rao!
Vik is the Engineering Team Lead here at ADInstruments.
Since gaining a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA, Vik has worked as a professional mechanical engineer for companies in the USA, India, and Australia, with a few years spent as an Assistant Professor at Manipal Institute of Technology.
As the Engineering Team Lead, Vik manages a team of engineers from our Sydney office, collaborating with them through the design and production of new ADInstruments equipment.

Vik was drawn in by the Sydney-based manufacturing facility. Having total oversight over parts manufacture was a big plus, and one not common outside of Asia. By having design and manufacturing within one facility, Vik and his team are able to take the product all the way from concept to design to production. This setup is great for quality control, but it is also an eye-opener when it comes to productivity strategies for different groups.
