NEW RELEASES

  • Video analytics

    • This is only available for  lessons that are published post-release of this feature.

    • Video analytics are accessed by selecting a lesson title in the Course Progress, Le 

    • Video analytics measures how many students pressed play on a video and the amount of the video watched by students 

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Removal of the Student Work card flow

    • Student Work features are now available in the Schedule and Course Progress views where there is a new and easier way to perform the same student work tasks

  • Feature Guide

    • We have added a new feature guide next to the user menu to guide users through the relocated student work features in the Schedule and Course Progress views

  • Accessibility 

    • We have added a "Skip to Content" link for the student lesson content page. This helps keyboard-only and screen reader users skip to the main content instead of traversing all the navigation items which improves the browsing experience

    • Alt-text and copyright information text is now parsed correctly

  • Background Page

    • The background page is now accessible in the page menu and with the page navigation buttons. Tooltips have been added to each button

    • Checkpoints now have a new flag icon 

 

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Granting extensions and Uncommitting actions

    • We have improved the safety of lesson availability actions:     

    • Grades are no longer cleared when uncommitting/granting an extension. Instead, the grades are retained, and if a student changes an answer it clears just the grade associated with that question.     

    • The dialogs for uncommitting, resetting progress, and granting extensions have been made more explicit to help users understand the outcome of these actions

  • Email Communications

    • We have removed the redundant second email from the invitation flow

  • Module Details

    • When module details (title, thumbnail, etc) are changed they are now automatically published, rather than needing to press the "Update to Latest" button in the Student Work card.

       

FIXES

  • Schedule in mobile view

    • 'Available from' and 'Due' labels for module lessons and sections now display correctly in the mobile view of Schedule.

  • Accessibility 

    • Fix the Log Out keyboard accessibility problem and make it be accessed easily by the Tab key in the User Menu

  • Schedule View
    • An Edit Module button has been added to module menus in the schedule view, taking the user to the Module card
  • Background Page
    • The background page will tell you if it is being displayed to students, and has been updated to look modern like our other pages
  • Median Time in Lesson
    • Improved help message for the median time in lesson feature The message now includes the date when the feature was released. This informs educators if the analytics data is available for their lesson
  • Course Progress
    • We have improved the safety for performing lesson availability actions
      • Grades are no longer cleared when uncommitting or granting extensions. Instead, the grades are retained.  If a student changes an answer that has been graded, this action only clears the grade associated with that question.
      • Communication - We have rewritten our dialogs for uncommitting, resetting progress, and granting extensions to be clearer so Educators understand the outcome of the action they are performing and how many of their students will be impacted by the action

FIXES

  • Image cropping
    • The image cropping panel now has better visibility of cropping points and a warning to the user about students who may access the original image
  • Hotspot Panel 
    • Fixed the hotspot panel where alt-text was appearing as a tooltip
