First, check that the Equivital Manager Software is installed on the computer, the Equivital Device Enabler is installed in LabChart, the Equivital Device Enabler license has been entered in LabChart (listed on the Equivital Bluetooth Dongle), the Equivital Sensor Electronics Module (SEM) is turned on, and the Equivital Bluetooth Dongle is connected. If the SEM is still not being recognized by LabChart, you may need to update the driver of the Bluetooth dongle. To update the driver, perform the following steps:
- Connect the Equivital Bluetooth Dongle to a USB port on the computer.
- Check for Windows updates as follows: Open Windows Settings, select Windows Update, and click 'Check for updates'.
- After Windows finishes checking for updates, update the Equivital Bluetooth Dongle driver as follows: Open Windows Settings, select Windows Update, select Advanced Options, select Optional updates, select Driver updates, check the check box for the 'Silicon Labs Driver' update, and download and install the driver update.
LabChart should now be able to connect to and record data from the SEM.
