IMPROVEMENTS

  • Schedule View
    • An Edit Module button has been added to module menus in the schedule view, taking the user to the Module card
  • Background Page
    • The background page will tell you if it is being displayed to students, and has been updated to look modern like our other pages
  • Median Time in Lesson
    • Improved help message for the median time in lesson feature The message now includes the date when the feature was released. This informs educators if the analytics data is available for their lesson
  • Course Progress
    • We have improved the safety for performing lesson availability actions
      • Grades are no longer cleared when uncommitting or granting extensions. Instead, the grades are retained.  If a student changes an answer that has been graded, this action only clears the grade associated with that question.
      • Communication - We have rewritten our dialogs for uncommitting, resetting progress, and granting extensions to be clearer so Educators understand the outcome of the action they are performing and how many of their students will be impacted by the action

FIXES

  • Image cropping
    • The image cropping panel now has better visibility of cropping points and a warning to the user about students who may access the original image
  • Hotspot Panel 
    • Fixed the hotspot panel where alt-text was appearing as a tooltip

NEW RELEASES

  • Lesson Analytics - Median time in the lesson is now available for all newly published lessons
    • This feature collects and displays how much time students spend on lesson pages.
    • Data displays as median time in the Course Progress lesson analytics view.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
    • We have improved our sign-in security for Educators and Students
    • MFA is user driven which means that the Educator or Student selects to opt-in to MFA from their user menu to add this security feature to their account
  • Course Progress
    • Reset progress in the Course Progress has been improved
    • Rest uncommits the lesson/section if committed.
    • Resetting progress for a student grants an extension if the lesson is committed

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Course Progress - Grading
    • The grading button now appears when all students have committed the lesson before the lesson itself is committed giving Graders a visual cue that the lesson is now ready to begin grading
  • Schedule 
    • Sections - deleted sections dates remained cached in the module/lesson UI, this data is now removed on deletion

    • Open lesson - feature has been added to the overflow menu
    • Update to latest - lessons and module lessons can now be updated to the latest revision 
      • The update button appears beside lessons or module lessons where changes have been made 
      • Notification - 'Updates Available' badge displays for modules where lessons have updates available 
      • Users are asked to confirm via a modal whether they wish to update to the latest changes when the update button is selected
  • User Experience Improvements
    • We have made visual improvements to buttons, dropdowns, and cards, to be a lot more consistent and have better contrast overall 
    • Instructor Material - Lesson details have been reordered, putting instructor material at the top of the card
    • Student Pays -  course cancel activation button up so that it's not easily missed 
    • Delete and restore workflow of student and staff accounts has been reworked to be consistent 
    • Mobile View - Improved the admin navigation for devices 
  • SSO Only - Group Lesson Sharing
    • Students can accept shared group work after the lesson availability has ended
    • Students can accept shared group work after the lesson has been committed by a staff member
Fixes 
  • Issue with individual student "Reset Progress" in the Student Work cards
